The Interlaw Division exercises its activity
as a structure subordinate to the International Bar College St.
Petersburg.
The foundation and development of International Bar College St. Petersburg
in the status of international organisation was a result of initiative
and activity of a group of attorneys from St. Petersburg, Moscow,
Tallinn, Leningrad Region and other regions of Russia, known for their independent
political and professional position.
The Bar counts over 650 attorneys. Many of them have
scientific degrees of PhD and Doctor of Law as well as academic status
of Assistant Professor and Professor of Law.
The Bar attorneys have an extensive experience of defending civil rights
in criminal, administrative and civil proceedings, in the sphere of tax-,
customs-, banking law and other important branches of the Russian legislation.

The broad representation as shown above enables the Bar to render legal
assistance to Russian and foreign citizens and organisations on a truly
broad rage of issues involving multi-aspect solicitation in courts of general
jurisdiction and arbitration courts both in Russia and abroad.
The principal goals of the Bar include rendering comprehensive legal aid
to Russian and foreign individuals and legal entities in protection
of juridical principles of economic and political activity; development and
unification of attorneys' activity in Russia and overseas aimed
at defence of civil rights and liberties.
The International Bar College St. Petersburg exercises its
activity as a part of the Counsel Board of St. Petersburg
and is one of the founders of the Russian Attorneys Guild.
